I formed this pet loss support group for amazing pet parents like you. I know grieving the loss of a pet can be difficult and overwhelming. Thank you for being here and be part of the community.

Pet Loss Support Group and Workshops

Duration

This 6-sessions program is focused on offering pet owners an effective mechanism for taking action to move through and beyond their grief. Each session is approximately 2 hours long.

Coping Skills Workshops

This workshop will focus on different coping strategies and activities to help grieving. Activities include mindfulness practice, art, music etc. The group leader creates a safe space where participates can share their current struggles, feelings, stories of their beloved pets.

Cost

Our group support membership plan is $200 per year or $20 per month, and it allows you to attend as many coping skills workshops and support groups as you wish.

Meet Our Group Support Specialists

(Rachel) Yi Ling Benson, MA, LMFT

Rachel is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a piano teacher, and pet parent for over 30 years. She has a small pet zoo in her house, with experience taking care of cats, dogs, fish, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, and bunnies!

She has worked with children and adults experiencing grief and other challenges throughout life.

She provides culturally sensitive support and a safe space for healing and processing grief.

Meet BuBu

Bubu Ryleigh was born on March 30, 2020, and she passed on March 23, 2025. She was tragically run over by a car after sneaking out of the house for the very first time, when the front door wasn’t fully locked.

Bubu was one of the sweetest and most curious girls in our family. She loved chewing on plastic, playing with her tower, and greeting us with her cutest little meow. She had the softest fur and the most gentle presence.

She was deeply loved and will be missed forever.
